The aim of this journal is to draw together all the scientific and technological details of current fatigue and fracture knowledge in order to assist the design engineer in overcoming problems, the research engineer to appreciate all scientific aspects of his/her work, and the scientist to become more aware of practical engineering problems. The scope of the journal is therefore interdisciplinary and papers will be welcomed from engineers, metallurgists, materials scientists, computer scientists, physicists, chemists and mathematicians. All materials used to construct engineering components and structures will be considered.
