Part I: Oceanographic Research Papers is devoted to the publication of the results of original scientific research, the solution of instrumental problems, and new laboratory methods in the marine sciences. It is unique in the field of oceanography in its interdisciplinary approach covering a wide variety of subjects related to the geological, physical, mathematical, chemical and biological aspects of the ocean, the sea floor and the boundary layer between the atmosphere and the ocean. Papers that are particularly timely or topical may receive accelerated editorial response and publication as Rapid Response Papers. Deep Sea Research Part I: Oceanographic Research Papers with Part II: Topical Studies in Oceanography is available as part of the Oceanography Package - Option 1 which comprises Continental Shelf Research, Deep Sea Research Parts I & II, Journal of Marine Systems, Oceanographic Literature Review and Progress in Oceanography.
