Published for The Physiological Society Now in a new larger format Experimental Physiology is a bi-monthly journal publishing original work on all facets of physiology. Integrative studies on man and animals are emphasised and contributions range from the molecular level through systems physiology to the whole animal. Theoretical papers based on experimentally derived data are also included as are pertinent methodological papers. The Rapid Communications section provides for the publication of short high-quality papers in 10 weeks from each of six deadlines. Critical reviews invited from researchers working in rapidly developing areas of physiology are a distinctive feature. In addition five of the Physiological Society's Prize Lectures are published in the journal as are selected papers from Physiological Society symposia. Commissioned Book Reviews are an added attraction.
