CoDAS (Communication Disorders, Audiology and Swallowing) is a technical-scientific publication of the Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia, São Paulo, as a continuation of the Jornal da Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia - JSBFa (2011 – 2012) and of the Pró-Fono Revista de Updating Científica (2011 – 2012). online from 2005 – 2010). CoDAS publishes articles in two languages (Portuguese-English or Spanish-English). It is published bimonthly, with six issues per annual volume, with the aim of contributing to the dissemination of technical and scientific knowledge in Communication Sciences and Disorders - more specifically in the areas of Language, Audiology, Voice, Orofacial Motricity, Dysphagia and Public Health in Speech Therapy - produced in Brazil and abroad.
The abbreviated title of the journal is CoDAS , which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic legends.
CoDAS (online ISSN 2317-1782) is an open access scientific and technical journal published bimonthly by the Brazilian Society of Speech Therapy (SBFa). It is a continuation of the previous "Pró-Fono Scientific Update Journal" - ISSN 0104-5687, until 2010 and "Jornal da Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia (JSBFa)" - ISSN 2179-6491, until 2012.
The mission of the CoDAS journal is to contribute to the dissemination of technical and scientific knowledge in Communication Sciences and Disorders and associated areas - specifically in the areas of Language, Audiology, Voice, Orofacial Motricity, Dysphagia and Public Health - produced in Brazil and abroad. The name of the CoDAS journal was created based on the main areas of 'Communication, Audiology and Swallowing Disorders' and was designed to be short and easy to remember. The abbreviated title of the journal is CoDAS, which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic legends. The journal is a publication of the Brazilian Society of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
CoDAS accepts original submissions in Portuguese, Spanish and English. Once approved, articles in Portuguese or Spanish will be translated and published in the original language and in English. Translations are expected to be financed by the authors and must be carried out by companies indicated by the CoDAS journal or by companies with proven experience in scientific translations of articles in the same area of the journal. Articles may be submitted directly in English; in this case the articles will not be translated into Portuguese, but the text written in English will be evaluated and, if necessary, an English review will be requested in order to be funded by the authors.
