Nursing Reports (ISSN 2039-4403) provides an opportunity to nurse researchers and scholars to make a unique and important contribution to nursing and the broader health care community by addressing topics, theories and issues that concern the discipline of nursing, including research, practice, policy and education. The journal publishes reviews, experimental and observational research papers, registered reports, brief communications, editorials, critical debates and protocols. Special Issues focused on topics of particular relevance and importance to the discipline are also published.
The aim of Nursing Reports is to influence the art and science of nursing by making rigorously conducted research accessible and understood to the full spectrum of practicing nurses, academics, educators and interested members of the public. The journal has no restrictions regarding the length of papers. Papers published in Nursing Reports are to adhere to the relevant reporting guidelines.

Nursing Reports is an international, scientific, peer-reviewed open access journal on nursing sciences, published quarterly online by MDPI (from Volume 10 Issue 1 - 2020).
- Open Access— free for readers, with article processing charges (APC) paid by authors or their institutions.
- High Visibility: indexed within Scopus, ESCI (Web of Science), PMC, PubMed, and other databases.
- Rapid Publication: manuscripts are peer-reviewed and a first decision provided to authors approximately 21.9 days after submission; acceptance to publication is undertaken in 3.8 days (median values for papers published in this journal in the second half of 2022).
- Recognition of Reviewers: APC discount vouchers, optional signed peer review, and reviewer names published annually in the journal.
- Nursing Reports is a companion journal of IJERPH.
