The purpose of this journal is to provide a medium of exchange for those engaged in marine research where there exists an interplay between geology, chemistry, biology, and physics. The Journal of Marine Systems therefore welcomes original and state-of-the-art contributions on all aspects of marine sciences. Preference is given to papers which extend beyond the limit of a single discipline and which follow the rationale of system analysis. Journal of Marine Systems is available as part of the Oceanography Package - Option 1 which comprises Continental Shelf Research, Deep Sea Research Parts I & II, Journal of Marine Systems, Marine Models Online, Ocean and Atmospheric Data Management, Oceanographic Literature Review and Progress in Oceanography. Journal of Marine Systems is also available as part of the Oceanography Package - Option 2 which comprises the eight journals in Oceanography Package - Option 1 along with Marine Literature Review CD-ROM.
