Field Crops Research is an international research journal containing relevant scientific and technological papers on crops and cropping systems. The subjects covered include crop ecology, agronomy, physiology, breeding, productivity, product quality, and protection. Studies on soil fertility, soil and water management, and farming systems in relation to crops and cropping systems are also included.The journal will consider submissions on all non-horticultural crops, including forages and pastures. Authors are required to present the results of field studies in a form to show important new ideas or general principles that have application beyond the location of the work. Studies of local significance only will not be considered. An economic analysis of the study may also be included where this is useful.Articles on horticultural crops, on crop storage, transportation and usage, and social and economic studies on crops and cropping systems, are outside the scope of the journal.Types of PapersOriginal research papers, review articles, book reviews, and announcements.
