我国至今也无自发性气胸诊疗专家共识或指南等相关行业标准发布。虽然近年来英国、美国、日本等国家的学术组织相继制定了自发性气胸的诊疗共识，但由于制定这些共识时所采用的文献比较陈旧、证据级别相对较低以及中外医疗保障体系和胸外专科分布存在差异，导致当前临床工作中自发性气胸的各个诊疗环节仍存在诸多争议。为此，广东省医疗行业协会胸外科管理分会联合广东省医师协会胸外科分会采用国际通用的Delphi 程序，首先收索 Medline、Cochrane 和万方中文数据库等 1980 年 1 月至 2015 年 12 月间关于自发性气胸的文献并进行回顾，选取其中证据级别较高，研究内容契合临床实践的文章，制定存在争议的调查项目，就自发性气胸诊疗中存在争议的 22 个方面进行调查，对广东省内可以开展气胸手术的 129 家医疗机构发出调查问卷，收回问卷 104 份，了解专家意见和临床实践的真实情况，并分别于 2015 年 12 月和 2016 年 3 月两次进行专家面对面的讨论，最后达成共识。
