许多研究指出种植失败通常集中在少数患者。Chrcanovic BR等学者通过对受试者进行回顾性研究来确定并分析群体性行为对种植失败的影响作用。

该研究仅纳入植入至少3颗种植体的患者。对发生至少3颗种植体失败的患者单独分类，来分析其呈现的群体行为。采用单变量和多变量逻辑回归模型和广义估计方程进行统计学分析，评估群体行为中解释变量在种植失败中的作用。

纳入对象总共有1409个患者，8337颗种植体，其中592颗种植失败。在种植失败的56.8%中，4.77%的患者表现出群体行为。从患者水平来看，抗抑郁药的摄入和磨牙症确定为潜在的不良因素。从种植体水平来看，车削植体、短植体、不良骨密度、患者的年龄、抑胃酸药物的摄入、吸烟和磨牙都是不良因素。

种植失败病例中患者的群体行为高度可信。虽然直接的因果关系并无法确定，但可以了解的是，种植失败的预警可以是一些系统和局部因素。在临床实践中，遇到相关的危险因素，口腔临床医师均需有所警觉，与患者进行良好的沟通，定期随访，及时处理问题。
