Published for the Royal Meteorological Society Meteorological Applications deals in an authoritative and accessible way with the wide range of topics associated with the applications of meteorology. These include applications of meteorological information (including climatological and forecast data) and their economic benefits; science and technology to support meteorological applications; weather events and their analysis and prediction; performance and interpretation of numerical models and other forecasting aids; practical applications of ocean and climate models; observation communication data processing and display systems; training techniques and the development and use of computer-aided learning. As well as research papers the journal provides a source of news about developments within Europe and beyond. The information will be of interest to and understandable by meteorologists and users of meteorological information not directly involved in the type of work being reported upon.
