Combustion Explosion and Shock Waves a translation of Fizika Goreniya i Vzryza publishes original research papers in the fields of solids and gas combustion. The main emphasis is given to the physics and chemistry of combustion structural and chemical transformation of matter in shock and detonation waves and related phenomena. The journal's coverage also encompasses new materials production by shock and detonation waves exploding welding dynamic responses of materials and constructions initiation of the detonation in condensed and gaseous phases hypervelocity impact powder compaction and other key topics. The results of computer modelling of these phenomena are also published. The Russian volume-year is published in English beginning in July.
