Free Radical Research publishes articles on the chemistry of free radicals, the production of free radicals by xenobiotics and biological systems, free radical damage to cells and tissues, and defence mechanisms against free radical damage. The journal's purpose is to facilitate the rapid publication of emerging ideas and developments through significant research papers and hypotheses as well as short communications and reviews. Since January 1994, includes a Section on Nutritional Antioxidants. In view of the explosive growth of interest both in the scientific literature and the popular press, in the biological effects of antioxidant nutrients, the journal has introduced a special section devoted to this topic. All aspects of research (chemistry, biology, clinical medicine, nutrition and epidemiology) on vitamins C and E, carotenoids, flavonoids and other dietary antioxidants are covered in one place. Manuscripts may be submitted to any member of the editorial board for consideration.
