The Journal of Labelled Compounds and Radiopharmaceuticals publishes original scientific manuscripts dealing with all aspects of research and development leading to and resulting in labelled compound preparation. Related areas such as analytical control self radiolysis quality control handling and storage are also covered. Papers on compounds and tracer methods used in chemical biochemical biological pharmacological medical genetic agricultural and geochemical research and application also appear. All radionuclides and enriched stable nuclides are included. Preparation and application of labelled compounds now pervades almost every area of scientific research both academic medical and industrial. The Journal is devoted to reporting new developments from a multidisciplinary base. Range of Topics A partial list of topics includes: Radionuclide production. Cyclotron targetry. Neutron irradiation methodology. Precursor preparation and production. Synthesis (chemical biochemical radiation isotope exchange etc). Automation of nuclide production precursor preparation and synthesis. Analysis (methods limitations etc. for both radioactive and stable nuclides including new detection techniques). Quality control (an essential requirement for valid data and especially for radiopharmaceuticals). Self radiolysis stability and storage problems. Special problems relating to production and handling of Curie and multiCurie amounts of radioactivity. Theory and practice relating to carrier problems 'isotope' dilution and other factors concerning stable nuclide and radionuclide use. Manuscripts on applications are welcome where the focus is primarily on the preparation or special aspects of use of the labelled compound. Manuscripts are reviewed and comments submitted to authors in order to maintain standards of quality and uniformity in the Journal.
