Anthony和他的同事在2007-2017年之间使用CPT代码29888确定了在Humana Inc.数据库中存有记录的4,946例关节镜ACLR。他们评估了术前阿片类药物对术后需求的影响，并比较了术前和术后未配药的患者。如果病人在接受手术前3个月服用了止痛药，他们就被认为是术前服用阿片类药物的人。受试者分为ACLR组，ACLR+半月板修复组，ACLR+半月板切除组和ACLR+微裂缝组。

根据他们的分析，，在手术后3个月，近7%的患者仍在服用阿片类药物，近5%的患者在12个月内仍在服用。近35%的患者(1716 / 4,946)在手术前3个月服用阿片类药物。25岁以下的人在手术后的9个月里，会有4倍的可能服用阿片类药物。

Anthony说:"我们希望我们的研究有助于为基线阿片类药物需求数据提供更多的信息，并继续增加我们在手术后如何更好地应对成瘾和疼痛管理的认识。"
