此项回顾性队列研究共纳入1014例非创伤性院外心搏骤停成人患者。以专业医务人员实施心肺复苏或除颤定义院外心搏骤停。利用改良Rankin量表评分对出院功能转归加以分层。对生存和功能恢复的动态概率加以评估。

结果显示，患者出院存活率为11%，但仅6%的改良Rankin量表评分为0～3。心肺复苏时间在16.1分钟以内，功能转归良好的患者有89.7%实现自主循环恢复，但良好功能恢复的可能性降至1%。对院前和院内变量协变量进行校正之后，心肺复苏持续时间（分钟）与出院时良好功能状况具有独立相关性（比值比 0.84；P=0.02）。
