爱荷华大学眼科学与视觉科学系的Drack AV和辛辛那提儿童医院医学中心和辛辛那提大学眼科学系的Utz VM等人近日在J AAPOS杂志上发表了一篇重要的研究论文。为了更好地了解AAPOS成员--儿科眼科医生对遗传性眼病的知识和需求，AAPOS遗传性眼病特别工作组开展了一项包含16个问题的调查。

该调查已分发给国内外AAPOS成员。收集了有关对眼科遗传病患者的治疗模式、基础知识和教育等问题的答复。

大多数受访者（93％）可能为遗传性疾病患者。调查发现，在某些条件的遗传性、基因检测策略和转诊临床试验中存在知识差距。大多数受访者表示，有兴趣继续在这些领域深造。因此，研究者建议，将护理模式作为教育过程的首要选择。
