Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease(CMT病)是一种进行性神经性肌萎缩综合征，又称遗传性运动和感觉神经性疾病(HMSN) 和腓骨肌萎缩症(PMA)，CMT病本身并不会危害患者的生命，但却严重影响患者的身体状况，给他们的日常生活带来不便。2017年7月10日Lancet Child&Adolescent Health上发表了一篇关于抗阻训练对于该病的治疗效果和安全性的试验。运动是神经肌肉障碍性疾病的潜在治疗方案，但因为过度运动这一缺点可能存在损伤风险。研究人员对用渐进性抗阻训练纠正CMT病患儿脚背屈无力的效果和安全性进行了评估。2013年9月2日-2014年12月11日，在悉尼儿童医院网进行了一个随机化、双盲、虚假对照的临床试验，招募了60名6-17岁具有脚背屈无力的CMT病患儿。将其随机分为两组，每组30人，分别接受渐进性抗阻训练和假装训练。随机分区并按年龄分层管理，接受6个月（隔天1次、每周3次、共72次）渐进性抗阻训练（50-70%的患儿结束时都增加到最大强度）或假装训练（轻度非渐进性的强度），可调整的运动锻炼每只脚的脊屈肌。主要评估指标为两组之间脊屈肌
