美国听力学会支持采用循证听力学筛查方法对幼儿和学龄儿童进行听力筛查。听力损失是出生时可发现的最常见的发育障碍，由于发病晚、诊断晚及获得性听力损失，听力损失的发病率在整个学龄儿童中呈增加趋势。儿童听力筛查不足，缺乏适当的儿童听力损失治疗，不仅对经济产生深远的影响，对儿童教育、认知和社会发展也具有潜在影响。早期检测新发听力损失的目的是（使儿童）最大程度感知言语及由此获得语言技能。武汉大学人民医院耳鼻咽
