日本首次利用iPS细胞治疗人类帕金森病

日本京都大学9日宣布，该校研究人员已经开展了利用诱导多能干细胞(iPS细胞)治疗帕金森病的临床试验，向一名患者脑部移植了由iPS细胞培养的神经祖细胞。这种疗法在全球尚属首次使用。

日本京都大学9日宣布，该校研究人员已经开展了利用诱导多能干细胞(iPS细胞)治疗帕金森病的临床试验，向一名患者脑部移植了由iPS细胞培养的神经祖细胞。这种疗法在全球尚属首次使用。

京都大学医学部附属医院9日在记者会上介绍了这例移植手术。手术于今年10月完成，患者是一名50多岁的男性，被移植的是由他人iPS细胞培养的多巴胺神经祖细胞。在约3小时的移植手术中，医生向这名患者脑部注入了约240万个多巴胺神经祖细胞。

据介绍，这是全球首例利用iPS细胞治疗人类帕金森病的移植手术，目前患者恢复情况良好，手术效果和安全性还需长期观察。按计划，这次开展的临床试验将为7名患者进行移植。

iPS细胞是通过对成熟体细胞“重新编程”培育出的干细胞，拥有与胚胎干细胞相似的分化潜力。此前研究人员曾在动物研究中证实，iPS细胞疗法能够治疗猴子的帕金森病。

帕金森病是一种神经系统变性疾病，主要病理改变是脑部分泌多巴胺的神经细胞死亡，临床表现包括手脚震颤、身体僵硬、行动迟缓等，目前尚无根治方法。
