背景：前临床、流行病学的和先前临床试验数据显示绿茶儿茶酚(GTCs)可能降低前列腺癌(PCa)的风险。方法：针对和茶多酚E®(PolyE)，特有的GTCs混合物，含有400毫克(-)-表没食子儿茶素-3-没食子酸酯(EGCG)，我们对97名高级前列腺上皮内瘤(HGPIN)和/或非典型小腺泡增殖(ASAP)的男性患者进行了一项安慰剂对照、随机的临床试验 。主要研究终点是在两个研究组对累积一年内前列腺


背景：前临床、流行病学的和先前临床试验数据显示绿茶儿茶酚(GTCs)可能降低前列腺癌(PCa)的风险。

方法：针对和茶多酚E®(PolyE)，特有的GTCs混合物，含有400毫克(-)-表没食子儿茶素-3-没食子酸酯(EGCG)，我们对97名高级前列腺上皮内瘤(HGPIN)和/或非典型小腺泡增殖(ASAP)的男性患者进行了一项安慰剂对照、随机的临床试验 。主要研究终点是在两个研究组对累积一年内前列腺癌PCa发病率进行比较。

结果：在大量的PCa病例中没有观察到差异：5/49(PolyE) vs 9/48(安慰剂)，P = 0.25。次要终点是高级前列腺上皮内瘤没有非典型小腺泡增殖的男性在基线比较累积PCa加ASAP的发病率，显示在这个复合终点有降低：3/26(PolyE) vs 10/25(安慰剂)，P < 0.024。这一发现是由Poly E组(0/26)相比安慰剂组(5/25)诊断为ASAP的减少证实的。降低的血清前列腺特异抗原(PSA)在Poly E组[-0.87 ng / ml(95% 置信区间 CI：-1.66，-0.09)] 也观察到。相关研究的不良反应在两个研究组间没有显著差异。

结论：每日摄取标准化，无咖啡因的儿茶酚混合物含有400毫克EGCG ，1年内累积血浆中，耐受性较好，但不会减少基线HGPIN或ASAP男性前列腺癌的可能性。
