握持力量可以简单的通过肌肉力量得以评估，并且是身体和生理行为的重要因素。经验迹象对于握持力量和牙齿数量之间的关系一直存在争议。这篇研究的目的是为了调查牙齿数量与握持力量之间的联系。

握持力量可以简单的通过肌肉力量得以评估，并且是身体和生理行为的重要因素。经验迹象对于握持力量和牙齿数量之间的关系一直存在争议。这篇研究的目的是为了调查牙齿数量与握持力量之间的联系。

研究的数据(N = 7，741)来源于韩国2014-2015年间的国家卫生与营养调查(KNHANES)。将所研究的牙齿分为3组：0-9 teeth， 10-19 teeth和20-28 teeth。使用数字握力器检测受试者的握持力量。在校准社会人口因素、一般健康行为和口腔及一般健康因素后，使用多变量线性回归和logistic回归模型评估牙齿数量与握持力量之间的联系。

结果显示，牙齿数量较少的男女受试者其握持力量明显减低。每颗牙齿分别增加了男和女0.12 kg和0.07 kg的握持力量(p < 0.001 for both males and females)。在完整校正模型的女性受试者中，牙齿数量与握持力量没有明显联系，但是0-9 teeth受试者的比值比为1.73 (95% confidence interval： 1.02-2.95)，这一结果要明显高于男性对照组。

结论：结果表明，在韩国成人中，牙齿数量与握持力量存在明显的联系。
