一项最新研究进一步强调了身体活动的重要性,该项研究发现,那些高度活跃的人可以让他们的生物年龄减少好几岁。

来自普罗沃杨伯翰大学的一名研究人员发现,每天跑上30分钟或40分钟,持续5天,可以减缓端粒缩短的速度,使细胞衰老延缓9年。

端粒是染色体末端的保护性帽状结构,被认为是生物年龄的标志。随着年龄的增长,端粒长度不断缩短。当端粒变得过短时,就不再能够保护染色体,从而导致细胞功能停止并发生死亡。

不良生活方式,如缺乏运动等,也可能会因为氧化应激导致端粒缩短,我们的身体对于这种自由基造成的细胞损伤无能无力。

这项由伯翰大学运动科学系Larry Tucker教授完成的最新研究阐述了身体活动在防止细胞衰老方面有着多么重要的作用。

这一最新研究成果发表在《预防医学》杂志上。

在这项研究中,Tucker教授观察了5,823名成年人的端粒长度。此外,他还观察了这些受试者在近30天内参与62项体育活动的情况,利用这些信息计算出他们的身体活动水平。

研究发现,高度活跃的参与者与久坐不动者相比,其端粒长度的生物年龄要年轻9岁以上;与那些中度活跃者相比,则要年轻7年左右。

对女性来说,每天三十分钟慢跑,每周持续5天被视为高度活跃;而在男性,每天慢跑四十分钟,每周持续5天则被认为是高度活跃的。

Tucker教授说,他惊奇地发现,久坐不动的参与者和中等强度的参与者两者之间的端粒长度没有显着差异。这表明,为了防止细胞衰老,高水平的身体活动是最好的。

“如果你想看到延缓生物衰老的真正差异,那么一点运动量是不会起到延缓衰老作用的。你必须经常进行高水平锻炼。”
